Accounts Assistant (Part Time)

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a great company in Halifax as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent part time basis. This is a brilliant company offering a unique opportunity to support the Financial Controller in the production of monthly management accounts. Whilst recent experience in a finance role is essential, applicants do not necessarily need management accounting experience as full training and support will be provided. 

 

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to get involved in all aspects of accounting, rolling up their sleeves and being a key part of the office. The team are extremely friendly and supportive and I would urge anyone who works in finance but is looking for a part time role to get in touch. They are very flexible with regards to working hours, whether it be across three days or five.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in managing the day-to-day financial transactional activities (which includes journal posting, account reconciliations and monthly processing activities).
• Support in the preparation of annual audit reports and required information.
• Support the finance team in various other areas including compliance reporting, tax reporting and process improvement activities.

 

Skills & Relevant Experience

• The successful candidate must be highly numerate and confident working with Microsoft Excel
• Previous finance or accounts experience
• A strong team player with the ability to communicate with confidence
• Disciplined and organised with the ability to work under pressure
