Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

               You will be mainly accountable for:

 

• Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices, and preparing sales plans, reviewing them, and proposing recovery plan(s) when needed.
• Generating service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
• Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
•   Executing the agreed service sales plan using company sales tools, with clear priorities, opportunity actions and recovery plans for potential order shortfalls.
• Promoting the full Motion Service portfolio, including motors and drives services, advanced services, long-term service agreements, energy-efficiency solutions, workshop services, connected services and digital offerings.
• Qualifying enquiries, interpreting customer requirements, coordinating technical-commercial solution development and ensures timely submission of compliant, competitive offers.
• Driving installed-base mapping for assigned accounts and ensure assets are correctly linked to customer sites and service opportunities.
• Coordinating with field service, motors and drives workshops, sales support, product specialists and global teams to provide a seamless customer experience. As well as developing and growing service partners and authorized workshops in the assigned area through business reviews, capability plans and corrective actions.
• Ensuring all sales activities comply with ABB policies, legal and ethical requirements, export controls, integrity standards and safety expectations.

 

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial service sales, technical sales or business development.
• Proven experience selling motors and/or drives services.
• Experience developing industrial or government customers in the UAE and Iraq and building relationships across technical, operational, procurement and management stakeholders.
• Experience in motor and drive service portfolio, service agreements, modernization, energy efficiency or digital service solutions is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, shape solutions and manage multiple commercial opportunities.
• Strong English communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
•  Development & Grow of Service partners for assigned area.
