Description
The IT Technical Lead will design, build, integrate, and optimize digital marketing and commercial technology solutions that enable scalable customer experiences across agriscience and crop protection markets. This role will cover Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), B2B eCommerce capabilities (SAP Commerce Cloud), integrations, and secure enterprise platform architecture.
The successful candidate will partner closely with commercial, marketing, product, architecture, data, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to translate business priorities into modern, reliable, and reusable digital solutions. This role requires strong technical depth i.e. Digital Solutions Engineering, Architecture and Development in the eCommerce & Digital Marketing Domains, and the ability to connect technical delivery with business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support enterprise digital marketing and commercial platform capabilities using AEM (React.js), B2B eCommerce solutions (SAP Commerce Cloud – JAVA), Rest APIs, microservices, Azure Cloud Services as infrastructure.
- Serve as solutions technical lead for AEM Sites, AEM Assets, content workflows, reusable components, templates, DAM integrations, personalization, localization, and campaign enablement.
- Architect scalable B2B eCommerce experiences that support complex selling models, including product catalogs, retailer and distributor experiences, pricing and availability integrations, order workflows, account management, and customer self-service.
- Partner with marketing, commercial, sales enablement, product management, and regional business teams to understand business needs and convert them into secure, maintainable, and measurable technology solutions.
- Define solution architecture, technical standards, integration patterns, coding practices, platform governance, and reusable design patterns across digital experience platforms with the company technical teams.
- Integrate digital marketing and eCommerce platforms with Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, product information management, customer data platforms, Adobe Analytics, consent management, identity (Azure B2B), and marketing automation solutions (Oracle Eloqua, Sureshot, WhatsApp, etc).
- Support omnichannel customer engagement by enabling consistent content, product information, digital assets, and personalized experiences across web, mobile, email, sales portals, and partner channels.
- Be the gate keeper of the technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, deployment plans, and operational support models working close with the development teams and the release manager.
- Drive platform reliability, performance, accessibility, security, privacy, compliance, and observability across digital marketing and commercial applications.
- Collaborate with agile delivery teams to estimate work, refine backlog priorities, guide implementation, review code – when needed, support the teams and other areas to resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality releases.
- Evaluate emerging digital agriculture, precision agriculture, AI, analytics, and marketing technology capabilities to identify opportunities that improve customer engagement and commercial effectiveness.
- Mentor other developers and technical team members while promoting engineering excellence, DevSecOps practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered where appropriate.
- Architecture, cloud, agile, cybersecurity, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce Cloud, JAVA, React, Azure Platform or digital experience platform certifications are preferred.
Required Experience
- Experience designing, developing, integrating, or supporting enterprise web, content management, digital marketing, or eCommerce platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager and platform integrations.
- Experience with B2B eCommerce (SAP Commerce Cloud) capabilities such as catalog management, customer account models, pricing, order capture, product content, search, and integration with back-end commercial systems.
- Proficiency in modern software engineering practices, including Java, React, JS, REST APIs, GraphQL, CI/CD, automated testing, and version control.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments with cross-functional product, design, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including business leaders, marketing teams, platform owners, and external partners.
- Experience integrating CMS’s with CRM, ERP, PIM, DAM, CDP, campaign management, or marketing automation solutions.
- Experience with global, multi-brand, multi-language, multi-market digital platforms and content governance models.
- Familiarity with SEO, web analytics, personalization, experimentation, consent management, data privacy, accessibility, and digital experience measurement.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, containerization, DevOps, observability, and automated deployment pipelines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in agriscience, crop protection, biologicals, seed, precision agriculture, ag retail, distribution, or related commercial domains.
- Knowledge of agriculture customer journeys, including growers, retailers, distributors, sales representatives, agronomists, and channel partners.
Technical Competencies
- Adobe Experience Manager architecture, development, content modeling, component design, workflows, and digital asset management.
- SAP Commerce Cloud architecture, product catalog enablement, search, merchandising, pricing, promotions, account management, and order integration.
- API-first design, REST, GraphQL, event-driven integration, middleware, and enterprise system connectivity.
- Modern front-end development patterns, responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and reusable user interface components.
- Cloud hosting – Azure Platforms, release management best practices, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring (Grafana), logging, and operational support.
- Security-by-design, identity management, role-based access, data protection, privacy, and compliance controls.
