JOB SUMMARY

• Hospitality & On-Site Experience: Bring our venues to life by designing trackside signage, premium event menus, suite branding, and guest experience collateral across both Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park.
• Wagering & Racing Activations: Design high-converting event signage, promotional graphics, and weekly e-newsletters that keep core handicappers and casual fans engaged with our racing product.
• Communications & Digital Marketing: Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to produce engaging email campaigns, social media assets, dynamic digital ads, and animated GIF/motion graphics for major event pushes.
• Brand Consistency: Evolve and protect the visual identity of Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints.
• Creative Agility: It’s a collaborative environment, that means jumping on real-time projects and delivering clean, production-ready assets on tight timelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Production & Design Execution: Adapt, resize, and produce digital and print creative assets (menus, e-newsletters, digital display ads, social media graphics, trackside signage, and web collateral) adhering to brand style guides
• Campaign & Event Support: Assist in building marketing collaterals for major event showcases (e.g., The King's Plate, Pepsi North American Cup) including motion graphics, animated GIFs, and large-format environmental signage
• Brand Stewardship & Quality Control: Maintain visual integrity across all channels for Woodbine, Woodbine Mohawk Park, and sub-brands, performing peer reviews and quality assurance on layout and typography
• Animation Design – creating elevated animated gifs, or if skills available, animation reels for cross functional platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related visual arts discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Experience: 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience (agency or in-house). A degree or diploma in Graphic Design from a recognized institution is required.
• Toolkit Master: Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). HTML/CSS/CMS email design is a plus.
• Detail-Obsessed: You know file prep, print production specs, and digital dimensions inside and out.
• Adaptable & Collaborative: You take direction with ease, learn brand guidelines quickly, and love contributing to team brainstorming and quick problem-solving.
• Portfolio Ready: You have a strong online portfolio showcasing clean typography, versatile layout skills, and real-world brand executions across print and digital.

• Documented freelance design experience, self-directed client projects, managing brand assets for small business ventures, or managing digital production workflows using professional design tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, Canva Pro) along with a verified portfolio demonstrating equivalency in technical file prep and visual composition.

Salary range: The target hiring salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 CAD. This range is not a guarantee of compensation. Final placement within the range depends on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
