Role Overview
This position requires someone skilled in both deburring/machining intricate features in various components whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Precision deburr of metal components using various tools and techniques;
- Check and deburr work under magnification;
- Read engineering drawings to identify critical features;
- Select the correct inspection equipment for manufacture;
- Manufacture to correct drawing specifications;
- Change inserts and machine offsets;
- Select and identify bushes & fixtures to ensure protection of critical features;
- Hand engrave of traceable numbers;
- Shot blast components for cleaning and in preparation for future treatments;
- Clean and protect of components;
- Check and complete the necessary quality documentation;
- Adhere to Lean principles;
- Take responsibility for work area;
- Undertake training of other employees;
- Work with Production Engineers on Continuous improvements (CI);
- Complete component tool sheets/SOP when required;
- Understand and use Kanban process;
- Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.
