Job Summary
- The Manager of Marketing Operation is the primary point of contact between the marketing department and company sales, services, finance, procurement and other departments, providing insights on lead flow, campaign results, and budget optimization. The Marketing Operations Manager also is responsible for a Demand Creation team who prospect as well as triage and qualify inbound leads with new and existing customers.
- The Marketing Operations Manager oversees the marketing automation platform and related business tools, including their interoperability and connection to CRM and accounting tools to report on campaign performance, lead waterfall performance, marketing influenced and generated sales, and marketing ROI. Other marketing support functions include but are not limited to providing prospecting resources, partner marketing reporting, customer satisfaction reporting, and strategy for engaging prospects and customers at company-produced events.
- The Manager of Marketing Operation works to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead management and database management. The role conducts the complex data and business analyses that inform strategic decisions by stakeholders across the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of key sales and marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
- Manage team of Demand Creation Representatives who identify, and connect with, marketing qualified leads then pass the qualified lead to a sales person who takes over for the rest of the sales process. These representatives also are responsible for prospecting and for adding qualified but not yet sales-ready leads to relevant nurturing campaigns.
- Manage prospecting resources and processes including but not limited to list management, call blitz programs, and market intelligence tools.
- Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign, prospecting and lead management. This includes overseeing adherence to our Sales & Marketing SLA’s.
- Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing, partner marketing and sales activities, campaign effectiveness, and business impact.
- Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
- Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing automation tool and CRM.
- Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing performance.
- Analyze performance metrics data and leverage it to effectively coach and develop the Lead Development team.
- Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
- Manage customer satisfaction survey processes and reporting.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or similar or related field required (MBA is preferred)
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional experience creating and managing marketing campaigns and related metric and financial analysis
- Demonstrated experience driving solutions set across development teams through market requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce.com
- Experience in an global and/or complex matrix business environment is desirable
- Experience developing and implementing business processes and streamlining operations
