Job Description

Waters Biosciences, formerly BD Biosciences, is seeking a bold, results-driven Global Product Marketing Manager to lead global marketing for our cell sorting portfolio, including the BD FACSDiscover S8 Cell Sorter and BD FACSAria family. This highly visible role will shape go-to-market strategy, lead high-impact launches, and drive programs designed to accelerate adoption and deliver significant growth.

This is a senior role for a self-starter who brings strong knowledge of flow cytometry, cell sorting applications, and the global cell sorter market. The successful candidate will translate customer and market insights into clear portfolio choices, differentiated positioning, and strong commercial execution. You will work with a talented team of marketers and scientists and partner closely with regional marketing, sales, applications, and other cross-functional leaders.

What You'll Do

Global Launch Leadership, Growth Execution & Market Development

  • Lead major global cell sorting launches—from strategy and launch readiness to regional activation and post-launch growth.
  • Shape global go-to-market strategy for the BD FACSDiscover S8 Cell Sorter and BD FACSAria family.
  • Turn customer, scientific, and market insights into portfolio decisions and growth opportunities across research, biopharma, translational science, and other priority segments.
  • Measure launch readiness, demand, adoption, and business performance to guide execution and growth.
  • Unite global and regional teams around launch milestones, evidence, messaging, training, demand generation, and sales readiness.
  • Partner with growth marketing and marketing communications to drive demand, adoption, and revenue through digital campaigns, events, webinars, thought leadership, and customer advocacy.
  • Bring scientific, workflow, and business value to life through differentiated positioning, compelling customer content, and practical sales tools.

Customer, Commercial & Regional Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with researchers, core laboratory leaders, key opinion leaders, and strategic customers to deepen market understanding and accelerate adoption.
  • Partner closely with global and regional sales and marketing leaders to identify barriers, prioritize opportunities, and improve commercial execution.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and the market in cross-functional planning and decision-making.
  • Serve as a visible portfolio leader at major scientific conferences, customer meetings, internal reviews, and launch milestones.
  • Equip regional teams with the strategy, tools, proof points, and training needed to win in their markets.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Monitoring

  • Build and maintain a strong view of the global flow cytometry and cell sorting landscape, including competitor portfolios, positioning, launches, pricing, workflows, and market trends.
  • Convert competitive and market insights into clear portfolio recommendations, differentiated messaging, sales tools, and campaign strategies.
  • Monitor customer needs, emerging technologies, purchasing dynamics, and tender activity to keep strategy relevant and competitive.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead through influence across marketing, sales, product management, service, operations, and regional teams.
  • Bring clarity, urgency, and disciplined execution to complex global initiatives with high business visibility.
  • Communicate portfolio strategy, launch plans, performance, risks, and recommendations through concise, executive-ready narratives.
  • Help strengthen a collaborative team culture that values scientific credibility, customer focus, creativity, and accountability.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing, or a related field required; an MBA or a master's degree or PhD in immunology, cell biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of cell sorting, cell sorters, and flow cytometry workflows and applications; a clear understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and competitor landscape
  • At least 3 years of experience in life sciences product marketing or global marketing.
  • Ability to turn scientific, customer, market, and performance data into clear strategies and actionable commercial plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong program leadership, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of moving work forward independently.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; experience with Think-Cell, Power BI, Salesforce.com, and ServiceMax is helpful.

Who You Are

  • A strategic, hands-on self-starter who moves quickly from insight to action.
  • Deeply curious about customers, science, technology, and the changing cell sorting market.
  • Bold, accountable, and focused on measurable business impact.
  • A strong collaborator who can align scientists, marketers, commercial teams, and senior leaders around a clear path forward.
  • Comfortable leading highly visible work, making decisions with incomplete information, and adapting as priorities evolve.
  • Able to travel up to 25%.
