Experienced Companion Caregiver - Tue/Thur/Fri, 10 AM - 2 PM, Cos Cob, CT

CAREGIVER NEEDED | Part-Time Mornings - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday | $22/hr | Cos Cob, CT

Three mornings a week, 9am to 1pm, with a client who needs someone steady. We’re looking for a patient, experienced caregiver to support a quiet, dignified woman in Cos Cob, CT. She needs hands-on help with mobility and personal care, and she will warm up to someone calm and respectful who takes the time to earn her trust. If you’re looking for part-time hours and find meaning in helping a senior feel safe and cared for at home, we’d love to hear from you.

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Hours: 9 AM to 1 PM
Location: Cos Cob, CT
Pay: $22 per hour

Responsibilities Include:

• Personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting
• Incontinence care
• Mobility support and safe one person transfers (she uses a wheelchair most of the day and a walker for short distances)
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and general support

A Little About the Home:

• The family has a dog, so we’re looking for someone who likes dogs and is comfortable around one
• You’ll be on your own with her during your shift, and our office team is always a phone call away
• No driving the client is required, but you’ll need a car to get to the home, since it isn’t easy to reach by public transportation

Requirements:

• Experience caring for seniors with mobility limitations
• Comfortable with hands-on personal care, incontinence care and transfers
• Physically able to assist a very weak client while following safe transfer techniques
• Patient, respectful, attentive and dependable
• Comfortable around dogs
• Reliable car
