We are seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Solution Architect & Developer to support the implementation and evolution of Claims and Motor insurance solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with solution architecture and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that global software components are successfully integrated and adapted to local business requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with international teams, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions, guide development activities, and drive high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.

 

                                                  

Responsibilities

• Analyse global software components and assess their implementation within local Claims and Motor environments.
• Design and document solution architectures and technical specifications.
• Identify and define local enhancements and adaptation requirements.
• Lead and support distributed development teams across international locations.
• Provide technical guidance on solution design, development, and integration.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, architecture, and development standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Conduct and support code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing activities.
• Ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability of software solutions.
• Drive architecture discussions and support decision-making across teams.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the implementation of event-driven and microservices-based architectures.

 

Essential skills

• 10+ years' experience as a Lead Developer, Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or Solution Architect.
• Minimum 3+ years' development experience within complex enterprise environments, preferably in the Claims domain.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring development teams.
• Experience working within international and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development and delivery practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (17+), Spring Boot 3.x, and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Experience with Git, JUnit, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Cloud platform knowledge (Azure and/or AWS).

 

Desired skills

• Claims or Motor insurance domain experience.
• Experience with ABS, Claims File, or other insurance core platforms.
• Knowledge of ABS Business Layer, CISL/CISLv2, or ABS Core Plugins.
• Experience with OSGi, Eclipse Plugins, or Camunda.
