Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 / year
Description
The Contract Specialist is responsible for the review, coordination, and administration of contracts between CPH and its clients, and other external partners. This role ensures contractual agreements accurately reflect negotiated business terms, project requirements, scopes of services, and CPH’s established processes and standards.
Duties Include
- Review and analyze contracts, amendments, scopes of work, and related documents to ensure alignment with CPH’s business terms, project requirements, and internal standards.
- Support Program/Project Managers and department leaders throughout the contract process.
- Verify that contract terms accurately reflect negotiated business terms, project scope, deliverables, fees, schedules, responsibilities, and other key requirements.
- Assist project teams in addressing contractual issues that arise during project execution and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain an organized database of executed contracts, amendments, certificates of insurance, and other contract-related documentation.
- Prepare contract summaries, reports, and other information for management review and decision-making.
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized contract templates, forms, workflows, and approval processes.
- Support internal reviews, audits, and process improvement initiatives related to contract administration and risk management.
- Collaborate with appropriate internal resources or external advisors when specialized contractual matters require additional review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in contract management, negotiation, and administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration, legal review, or procurement, preferably within engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services industries.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex terms clearly and diplomatically.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and contract management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
