Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire an experienced System Administrator to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for on-prem administration, automation, and security hardening of Windows and Linux environments. You will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, applying DoD security baselines, and enabling consistent, repeatable system deployments across the program.
Note:This position is contingent upon award of an anticipated federal contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer Windows laptop and workstation environments including imaging, automation, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
- Administer Linux server environments including provisioning, automation, patch management, and configuration management.
- Apply, validate, and maintain DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across Windows and Linux systems.
- Develop and maintain automated provisioning workflows using Ansible, PowerShell, or equivalent tools.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policy, and authentication services.
- Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security updates in accordance with DoD timelines.
- Maintain system backup, recovery, and continuity processes.
- Document system configurations, build procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot Tier 2/3 system, network, and authentication issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and program teams to ensure systems meet mission requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience across Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with automation and provisioning tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or equivalent.
- Experience applying DoD STIGs and maintaining compliance baselines.
- Experience with Active Directory administration.
- Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday to support delivery order fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience supporting DoD Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) programs.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Packer).
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, or other endpoint security tooling.
- Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
