Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and collections. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, museum policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, offices, collection-adjacent spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials or permissions as directed, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or facility concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
