As a Product & Project Engineer Manager (PEM), you will lead and control a Product Engineering Line Package (e.g. XTs or others) in a global environment, where you will be required to act in a global project, support technology development and execution at a product coordination level. You will be supporting the project management and x-functional (sourcing, quality, materials, etc.) teams, interacting with Customers globally and providing technical and management expertise during project execution activities. You will perform engineering efforts related to the design of new products and services, as well as control requirements and new designs for customer projects. You will deliver projects through the stages of conception, verification, production and commercialization.
As Product & Project Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing an Engineering level plan (together with a dedicated planner) with dates and resources for a specific product line (e.g. XT or others) project execution in accordance with other x-functional lines (e.g. sourcing, manufacturing, testing, project management, etc.) and contract dates;
- Controlling Project Engineering Plan, Scope and Resources (personal, hours, budgets, etc.) on daily basis with expertise and in alignment to project schedule;
- Leading a team with expertise and develop leadership within the group.
- Liaising with clients at a technical and management level to ensure their needs are being met and ensuring they are aware of the data input requirements to allow the study to proceed on-schedule.
- Securing engineering deliveries and on time delivery;
- Reporting to global leaders on project progress and technical challenges through PMR meetings, and escalating or raising requests for support when needed;
- Coordinating with different engineering managers on resources required to execute the scope;
- Keeping project communication clear and transparent across different product lines and stakeholders, in addition to securing interfaces exchange and closure across different product lines;
- Securing customer and international standards requirements addressment, providing system design inputs to other engineering product lines where needed;
- Showing and carrying constant work organization tightness.
- Working collaborative with a global engineering community.
- Communicating with Customers globally, mostly in English language.
- Developing Project deliverables and reviewing the work of others, such as but not limited to manufacturing drawings, schematics, P&IDs, procedures, reports, etc.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Controls Engineering or equivalent as required with extensive experience in a similar role;
- Have broad knowledge of processes, methods and procedures within project and engineering management;
- Experience with major operators in the market, covering product and project's full lifecycle: Conceptual phase, leading to detail engineering, manufacturing and testing support, and field support;
- Proficiency in communicating with Customers in English language, mostly about the technical scope definition and development of the product;
- Christmas Tree engineering background required for subsea equipment. Knowledge within Vertical and Horizontal Christmas Tree, Tubing Head Spool, Tubing Hanger, Christmas Tree Tooling sets (including Tubing hanger running tool) are mandatory for this role;
- A Cost & Schedule driven mindset;
- Proactiveness and engagement to cover daily tasks;
- Quick learning and resilience skills set to a changing scenario;
- Availability to travel and support work fronts in different locations in the globe.
Desirable
- Skilled in Engineering Database set up and configuration (SAP or Team Center);
- Masters or Pos-graduation in Engineering.
- Skilled in Engineering based software’s (Autocad, Creo, Solid Works, Visio, MSP)
