Job Summary:
Ensures the Operations teams are fully equipped to adopt new processes, systems, and technologies by delivering targeted readiness activities, including training, impact assessments, communications, and adoption support. Partners closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure employees have the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to integrate new operational capabilities effectively and sustain compliance during transitions.Job Description:
Assesses the operational impact of new systems and processes to identify readiness requirements that ensure teams can adopt changes successfully.
Develops and executes readiness plans that prepare operations staff for go‑live and support a smooth transition into steady‑state operations, while conducting readiness assessments and skills‑gap analyses to evaluate adoption risks and identify where reinforcement or re‑training is needed.
Coordinates cross‑functionally with Project Managers, Operational Excellence, IT/OT, and Operations teams to align readiness activities with project timelines and minimize disruption.
Delivers training and guidance to stakeholders to strengthen understanding and adoption of best practices for new operational capabilities.
Maintains and updates learning materials aligned with SOPs and work methods to ensure employees have accurate, accessible resources during operational changes.
Monitors compliance and process effectiveness to ensure alignment with policies and support continuous improvement.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Additional Job Description:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field aligned to operations or project readiness.
Experience
5 years of experience with supporting project implementations (go‑live, hypercare, user enablement), and working with data collection, analysis and interpretation.
Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation.
Experience leading or collaborating with small projects.
Experience as matter-expert and asset resource to provide support to internal/external clients.
Previous involvement in training delivery, workforce readiness, or operational documentation.
Exposure to SOP/work method alignment or operational process changes.
Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:
Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management or related field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 5 years of experience performing a previous Specialist role.
High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 10 years of experience performing similar functions described and at least 8 years of experience performing a previous Specialist role.
Competencies (Skills)
Instructional design fundamentals, e-learning, and training facilitation.
Ability to develop engaging materials (Articulate, PowerPoint, job aids, multimedia content).
Familiarity with Articulate, Workday Learning, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript or multimedia tools (preferred).
Ability to conduct impact analysis and readiness assessments.
Coordination of go‑live readiness and transition activities.
Ability to translate technical/process changes into easy‑to‑understand training.
Strong communication & collaboration with SMEs, operations teams, and leaders.
Proficiency in English & Spanish.
