We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-minded Program Coordinator to join our Orrville Service Center team.

In this role, you will be on the front lines of community service, helping individuals and families identify solutions to critical needs while connecting them with programs, resources, and opportunities that can make a lasting difference.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As Program Coordinator, you will help make the Service Center a visible, welcoming, and integral resource within the community. You'll work directly with clients, community partners, volunteers, and Service Center leadership to deliver programs that empower people and strengthen families.

Client Assistance & Program Services

• Serve as a primary staff contact for individuals and families seeking assistance.
• Implement and promote programs such as mentoring, advocacy, resource referral, and community linkage.
• Educate and assist individuals and families as they identify challenges, problem-solve, and work toward successful solutions.
• Coordinate follow-up services and maintain accurate client records, tracking information, statistics, and program documentation.
• Assist with food pantry services, financial assistance, and other social services provided through the Service Center.

Community Outreach & Partnerships

• Build awareness of Service Center programs throughout the community.
• Identify individuals and groups who may benefit from available programs and services.
• Collaborate with the Service Center Director and community agencies to provide educational opportunities, resources, and services.
• Help identify emerging community needs and develop programs designed to address them.
• Coordinate and distribute program and seasonal outreach materials.

Seasonal Programs & Special Events

You'll have an opportunity to play an important role in programs and events that bring the community together, including:

• Camp NEOSA
• Back-to-School programs
• Angel Tree
• Christmas Food Baskets
• Backpack food programs
• Spaghetti Supper
• Memorial Golf Outing
• Red Kettle Campaign

You will also assist with organizing Red Kettle Campaign locations as needed.

 

Leadership & Administration

• Help oversee the day-to-day program activities of the Service Center.
• Provide leadership, administration, and coordination for the Service Center Program Committee.
• Maintain client and program information needed for activity and special-event reporting.
• Support fundraising activities and community events.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Service Center Director.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines compassion with organization and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field preferred, or
• Two to three years of related experience.

Skills & Abilities

The successful candidate should:

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals and groups.
• Be comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds and life circumstances.
• Demonstrate strong intake interviewing and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to organize client information, documentation, and program records.
• Work collaboratively with community organizations, volunteers, and Service Center leadership.
• Balance direct client service with administrative and program responsibilities.
• Be dependable, adaptable, compassionate, and able to meet the specific requirements of the position.
