Education and Other Requirements
Candidates are eligible to obtain the Process Technician I role if they show superior performance and technical competency. A candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the premium:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-year related technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Exhibit proficiency in the required skills, abilities and responsibilities for the position.
  • Strong attendance record – “Exceeds Expectations”
  • “Meets Expectations” or above rating on annual performance review
Skills and Abilities
  • Must have broad technical knowledge.
  • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Training or experience with robotic systems is a plus
  • Must be a team player, flexible with work schedule/assignments and exhibit Polaris values.
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision and complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical systems
  • Assist with PM and basic repair activities as appropriate
  • Support development and implementation of autonomous maintenance
  • Document standard procedures for technician and operator tasks
  • Maintain data logs for documented processes in liquid paint
  • Understanding of Environmental Compliance requirements for operations and waste streams
  • Ensure proper startup of system before production begins.
  • Communicate clearly between shifts all activities performed and status updates on projects.
  • Assist production as needed to keep downtime to a minimum

Polaris Huntsville Internal Promotion / Transfer Requirements: 

  • New Hires must have 1-year Continuous Service from Polaris Hire Date 

  • 6 Months Between Department Transfers or Promotions 

  • No Active Corrective Actions 

  • 2 or less Attendance Points 

  • Must have received a 'Meets Expectation' in the most recent performance review, if applicable. 

  • Resume Required 

  • Interview Required 

  • Candidates already assigned to the work unit (Assembly, Weld, Materials, Quality, etc.) will be considered first If a suitable candidate is not identified, all other eligible candidates will be considered. 

  • Failure to attend a scheduled interview (No Show), without notice, will result in being ineligible for future roles for 6 months. 

  • If selected for the position, you are required to move into the position upon the effective date If you are no longer interested in the position, you must withdraw prior to an offer being presented If unable to accept the position as expected, you will be ineligible for future roles for 1 year from the date of refusal. 

Base Pay Range:

$24.66 - $29.47
