The Procurement Specialist (Senior Level) plays a critical role in supporting organizational objectives through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement excellence. This position is responsible for leading complex sourcing initiatives, developing supplier strategies, and driving value creation through cost optimization, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders while leading strategic procurement projects that improve supplier performance, strengthen supply continuity, and ensure compliance with company procurement standards.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Leading end-to-end procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier evaluations, sourcing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Executing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, quality improvements, supply assurance, and long-term value
Managing multiple supplier development and performance improvement projects across various spend categories
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic business partners
Conducting supplier performance reviews and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Identifying and mitigating supplier-related operational, financial, and supply continuity risks
Collaborating with suppliers to drive innovation, efficiency improvements, and value creation opportunities
Partnering closely with business units to understand procurement requirements and align sourcing strategies with business objectives
Providing procurement expertise, guidance, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
Communicating sourcing strategies, project outcomes, and procurement recommendations to leadership teams
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration among Finance, Operations, Engineering, Legal, and other business partners
Driving procurement process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
Supporting procurement transformation programs, digitalization efforts, and system enhancements
Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, ethical sourcing standards, and governance requirements
Mentoring and supporting the development of junior procurement professionals when appropriate

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
Have 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or supplier management
Demonstrate a proven track record of leading complex sourcing initiatives and delivering measurable cost savings and business value
Have experience utilizing ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or equivalent systems
Possess advanced analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities
Demonstrate strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills
Have the ability to influence decision-making and build credibility with stakeholders across all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications
CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or equivalent procurement certification
MBA or advanced business degree
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, energy, or technology sectors
Knowledge of supplier risk management, sustainability initiatives, and supply chain resiliency programs
Experience managing multi-million-dollar spend portfolios
