Job Description
The Housekeeping Technician assists in assuring that Camp For All facilities are clean and sanitized in a timely manner for Partner groups. He/she should ensure Texas Department of Health standards are maintained in all pertinent areas. This position is an important part of making the magic happen for our campers! As a camp that serves many different challenges, the cleanliness of our facilities is vital for the camper experience. Our housekeeping team works year-round with some weekend and evening hours expected when campers are onsite.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role.
Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Coordinator in order to complete daily and weekly job duties.
- Reports maintenance needs for repairs and recommendations for maintenance needs to Supervisor/Coordinator
- Maintains inventory supplies and housekeeping equipment
- Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods
- Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Maintains flexible work schedule, with the ability to work extended hours as needed
- Trains on the operation of all housekeeping machinery

Requirements
- High School graduate or general education degree (GED) equivalent. Years of experience may be substituted for the educational requirement
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a housekeeper in a professional setting
- Specialized knowledge of Hazmat issues is expected or ability to learn
- Intermediate level of computer literacy is preferred, including the ability to read spreadsheets and prepare schedules, process data, understand basic inventory and accounting software and research products
- Experience using power washers, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbing machines, computers, trailers, washers and dryers, and floor shampoo machines
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50lbs, perform some strenuous physical activity. No special visual requirements
