Senior/Staff Product Owner, SMART MFG & AI

As a Senior/Staff Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will report to the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end to end smart manufacturing solutions, integrated across various functions of the business. You and the team will be looking to apply the industry-leading best methodologies in data science, automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, business and administrative processes across the company. 

In this role, you will work with an internal team of Fab end users and Smart Manufacturing developers to develop, design, analyze, and implement Data Science solutions and Smart Manufacturing applications in the Front End manufacturing Fabs. You will be exposed to the world of data science, AI and machine learning and have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of these skills. More importantly, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders within Micron to ensure positive impact and sustainable results from our Smart Manufacturing solutions.

Primary Responsibility

• Partner with central and site Quality engineering organizations to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve wafer quality, yield and output.

• Gather, analyze and translate end user business requirements into functional requirements for developers to execute and build applications.

• Define solution scope, business requirements, success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Architects to develop, validate and deploy solutions into production.

• Lead cross-functional projects from problem definition through solution deployment, business adoption and value realization.

• Analyze operational data and business processes to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous optimization.

• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI and AI-assisted tools to improve decision making, automate workflows and accelerate solution delivery.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with equivalent experience also considered.

• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quality/yield management or process/equipment engineering departments.

• Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering business, analytics or digital solutions.

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex business and operational data.

• Experience using AI-assisted tools, Generative AI or AI-enabled solutions to improve productivity, decision making or business outcomes.
