POSITION SUMMARY
Directs staff responsible for cleaning private condominiums and homes in the Steamboat Hospitality division. Checks housekeepers work to ensure quality meets impeccable standards. For specific information on performance protocols, please refer to the Policies and Procedures manual for the housekeeping department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Directs, supervises and monitors progress of housekeepers engaged in the cleaning of private condominiums and homes for hospitality or residential divisions.
Works with and reports to Housekeeping Management.
Participates actively in planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with work loads (actual cleans and/or towel changes), appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assures adherence to management company policies and established operating and safety procedures.
Ensures each housekeeper’s daily schedule will be met and assists with actual cleaning as needed.
Drives housekeeping team to and from properties.
Delivers needed supplies to housekeepers and properties throughout day as necessary.
Performs as needed common area cleaning and supervision of common area cleaning.
Re-schedules or re-adjusts team workload between team members, as necessary daily.
Sorts, counts, folds, marks, carries linens and towels.
Monitors inventory and supplies in and around various properties.
Ensures team responds to guest and/or owner requests professionally and greets guests and owners when met on property. Maintains professional and personable presence around guests and owners.
Ensures proper working order of cleaning equipment (vacuum bag replacement, etc.).
Maintains a secure key control system to ensure the safety of our guests, owners, and their property.
Conducts deep cleans, performs unit inventory and maintenance needs evaluations.
Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and valid driver license in order to comply with our insurance requirements of non-livery drivers.
Drives to and from properties in a safe and lawful manner. Always being mindful of safety and adherence to the rules of the road.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of previous work history/education required.
Previous housekeeping experience required.
1-year previous supervisory experience preferred.
Previous office experience preferred.
Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass a driving authorization for this position.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for detail work.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.
The employee must be able to communicate clearly with staff in English (speaking required, hearing optional).
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to rely on smell.
