The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking an accomplished and strategic executive to serve as the Deputy Director of Administrative Services Finance Division, with primary responsibility for financial management, fiscal strategy, and the oversight of key departmental administrative programs and operations.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Behavioral Health, the Deputy Director will serve as a member of the Department's executive leadership team and provide strategic direction over the Department's complex financial and administrative infrastructure. The position will serve as an advisor to the Director on matters involving budget, fiscal policy, revenue optimization, financial forecasting, contracts, compliance, administrative operations, and long-term financial sustainability.
In addition to serving as one of the Department's senior financial executives, the Deputy Director will provide leadership and oversight for assigned administrative programs and functions that support the Department's overall operations and delivery of behavioral health services. The scope of responsibility may evolve to include additional administrative, operational, or programmatic areas based on departmental priorities, organizational needs, and the direction of the Director.

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, Health Administration, or a closely related field.

Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, financial, or management experience in a large and complex public-sector, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly complex organization.
Qualifying experience must include significant responsibility in budget and fiscal administration, financial planning and analysis, program administration, organizational operations, and the development or implementation of administrative and financial policies and procedures.
At least two (2) years of the qualifying experience must have been at a management level, with responsibility for managing through subordinate managers and/or supervisors.
