As part of our continued support to our customer in the space sector, we are currently looking for an Engineering Operations Manager, based on site at our customer's facility in Stevenage.
As the Engineering Operations Manager, you will lead the Expleo Engineering team in the delivery of the day-to-day operations in collaboration with the programme team and the client, across various Satellite based programmes and technologies. The role is the focal point for all Expleo business related areas. Additionally, you will lead the transformation ways of working to deliver strategic business improvements, enabling efficiency, growth, operational performance, and enhanced customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Expleo site lead for day to operations to the client.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve delivery issues.
- Act as a key escalation point for operational issues.
- Work alongside the Expleo programme team.
- The build of effective relationships with onsite leads, customers, and stakeholders.
- Providing regular operational performance updates and recommendations.
- Create and execute a delivery transformation plan with the aim to drive efficiencies to both the client and Expleo.
- Identify and create Work Packages of work to drive efficiency for relevant areas of delivery.
- Identify potential growth opportunities in delivery areas.
- Engage cross functionally with Expleo support functions to secure resource required to deliver on customer projects and programmes.
- Support strategic planning and business improvement initiatives.
- Conduct continuous improvement activities.
- Support the adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable industry related experience / Degree qualified – Engineering or Science related subject
- Currently hold or be eligible to achieve UK MoD Security clearance

- Previous experience working as technical Manager / Project Engineer
- Managing and leading technical teams
