Internal Communications and Events Adviser – CDI
The role
The Internal Communications and Events Adviser is responsible for driving internal communications and employee engagement initiatives for our Luxembourg office. The role combines strategic communications advice, stakeholder management, content development and event leadership to support business priorities, strengthen office culture and enhance employee engagement.
The Adviser serves as the primary local communications contact in Luxembourg and works closely with local leadership, partners and senior stakeholders, as well as colleagues across the wider Corporate Communications team in Amsterdam, Brussels and Zurich. The role requires a hands-on professional who can move seamlessly between advising stakeholders, developing communications strategies and delivering high-quality communications and events.
Main responsibilities
Internal Communications
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of internal communications for the Luxembourg office, including local newsletters, leadership communications, employee updates and tailored firmwide announcements.
- Draft, edit and publish news items, intranet content, event recaps, announcements and other employee-facing communications.
- Maintain and further develop local communication channels, including Luxembourg intranet pages and digital screens.
- Advise partners, management and other stakeholders on communication approaches, messaging and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the preparation of leadership presentations, key messages and employee communication materials.
- Gather Luxembourg input and ensure strong local participation in firmwide campaigns, communications programmes and thematic initiatives.
- Ensure communication activities align with the firm's overall strategy, tone of voice, quality standards and brand guidelines.
External Communications Support
- Coordinate selected external-facing communications activities for Luxembourg in collaboration with the wider Corporate Communications team.
- Support local visibility initiatives, including social media content, event-related communications, photography and video opportunities.
- Help identify opportunities to showcase Luxembourg expertise, culture and achievements through appropriate communication channels.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers where required.
- Ensure all communications comply with branding, editorial and compliance requirements.
All external communication remains subject to established approval processes and oversight by the Corporate Communications team.
Events and Employee Engagement
- Lead the planning, organisation and delivery of internal events and employee engagement initiatives, including office gatherings, onboarding activities, town halls, celebrations, team events and other internal programmes.
- Develop project plans, timelines and budgets and coordinate all logistical aspects of events.
- Manage invitations, communications, suppliers, venues, catering and event materials.
- Oversee pre-event and post-event communications and ensure consistent participant experiences.
- Act as the primary on-site contact during events and address operational issues as required.
- Work closely with Office Management, HR and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
Strategic Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Act as an active member of the international Corporate Communications team and contribute to firmwide projects, campaigns and initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with partners, management, HR, Office Management and other stakeholders across the Luxembourg office.
- Represent Luxembourg communications perspectives and provide local insight within firmwide discussions and projects.
- Contribute to the continuous development of communications standards, ways of working and best practices across the firm.
- Share communications expertise and support colleagues involved in communications activities where appropriate.
Planning, Reporting and Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain communication plans, editorial calendars and event roadmaps.
- Monitor communication activities and provide reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain planning tools, shared resources and internal processes to support effective delivery.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers in line with internal procedures and budgets.
- Ensure continuity and consistency across communications and events activities.
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor or master degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Corporate Communications or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in corporate communications, internal communications or employee engagement.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders and translating business priorities into effective communication initiatives.
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to transform complex information into clear and engaging content.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and credibility to work with partners and senior management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
- A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French. Additional languages would be considered an asset.
