Job description
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to join our innovative team at Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes to optimize manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Job Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and robotics integration.
* Configure and troubleshoot industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and communication networks (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
* Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of new and upgraded automation equipment.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, control narratives, and operating procedures.
* Conduct root cause analysis of automation system failures and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and IT to ensure seamless integration and operation of automated systems.
* Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in industrial automation.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all automation projects.
Job Qualifications**
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation projects.
2. Strong understanding of process control and control systems.
3. Hands-on experience in PLC/HMI programming, testing, and commissioning.
4. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC/OPC UA, Profibus, Modbus RTU/TCP, and TCP/IP.
5. Experience in site surveys, PLC/RTU installation, wiring, and troubleshooting.
6. Knowledge of SCADA systems; AVEVA/Wonderware (InTouch, System Platform) experience is preferred.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Client environments is preferred, including installation, basic configuration, event checking is preferred.
8. Ability to read/write English documents
9. Strong teamwork, communication skills, and sense of responsibility.
10. Willing to travel for project implementation and support.
