Tasks:
- Developing electromechanical components, assemblies, and, in some cases, simple segments in accordance with requirements and manufacturing specifications, while meeting quality, schedule, and cost targets, using CAD tools by:
- Analyzing overarching requirements and creating a 3D implementation concept
- Developing manufacturing-friendly design solutions while taking into account the reuse of existing components
- Assisting with the estimation of development and manufacturing costs for the unit under your responsibility
- Designing and selecting suitable standard and off-the-shelf parts for the unit under your responsibility
- Coordinating interfaces with other internal departments and externally with suppliers and customers
- Participating in the selection of manufacturing suppliers and supporting the procurement process as a technical point of contact
- Technical review of the prepared, standards-compliant technical product specifications
- Processing product data in SAP PLM
- Participating in customer qualification and acceptance for the unit under your responsibility
- Conducting requested inspections and tests for the unit under your responsibility during development (Engineering Tests)
- Supporting and reviewing external customer technical documentation for the unit under your responsibility
- Assisting with bid preparation
- Supporting the preparation of the unit under your responsibility for series production, including preparatory work for test readiness and the series production ramp-up
- Supporting integration activities for the first article
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Basic design experience in mechanical or plant engineering
- Basic professional experience in 3D CAD design (preferably Siemens NX)
- Proficiency in SAP PLM
- Understanding of mechanical engineering, optics, and electrical engineering
- Proficiency in the areas of design, mechanics, and materials science
- Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office applications
- Good written and spoken English and German skills
- Time- and cost-conscious work style
