Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for Unisys Corporation's diverse range of IT solutions and services. This role involves collaborating with various teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, online help, API documentation, and process guides, for various software platforms and infrastructure management solutions.
* Work closely with product development, engineering, and support teams to gather information, understand product functionality, and identify documentation requirements.
* Apply Agile Methodology principles to documentation development, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement.
* Conduct thorough analysis and reporting on documentation effectiveness and user feedback to inform future improvements.
* Collaborate with Business Analysis teams to understand user needs and incorporate them into documentation.
* Ensure all documentation adheres to IT Compliance Management standards and internal quality assurance (QA) processes.
* Participate in Requirements Engineering discussions to translate technical specifications into actionable documentation plans.
* Contribute to the documentation strategy for IT Service Management (ITSM) and Transition Management initiatives.
* Develop documentation related to Risk Assessments for various IT systems and processes.
* Create documentation specific to SAP ERP Central Component (SAP) implementations and modules.
* Understand and document various aspects of Software Development and Software Platforms.
* Focus on User Experience (UX) principles to create intuitive and easy-to-understand documentation.

Job Qualifications:**

* Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an IT or software development environment.
* Strong understanding of Agile Methodology and its application to documentation.
* Demonstrated ability in Analysis and Reporting, particularly in the context of documentation effectiveness.
* Experience with Business Analysis principles and translating business requirements into technical documentation.
* Extensive experience with various types of Documentations, including user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.
* Familiarity with Infrastructure Management (IM) concepts and documentation.
* Knowledge of IT Compliance Management standards and practices.
* Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and documentation requirements.
* Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) processes for technical documentation.
* Proficiency in Requirements Engineering and translating technical specifications into clear content.
* Experience with documentation related to Risk Assessments.
* Familiarity with SAP ERP Central Component (SAP) documentation is a significant advantage.
* Understanding of Software Development lifecycles and Software Platforms.
* Experience with Transition Management documentation.
* Strong focus on User Experience (UX) in documentation design and content.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

BA/BS degree and 2 - 4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
