Role Summary

The Director will serve as TBI's lead adviser on DLT and digital assets, overseeing the delivery of complex, high-impact engagements for governments, regulators and public institutions.

• Lead senior advisory engagements with governments, central banks, regulators and development finance institutions.
• Structure and oversee multidisciplinary workstreams, ensuring analytical rigour and delivery excellence.
• Apply structured problem-solving to policy, regulatory, implementation and market-development challenges.
• Develop executive-level recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
• Build trusted relationships with ministers, central bank governors, regulators and senior officials.
• Maintain accountability for the quality, timeliness and impact of all client deliverables.
• Bring together expertise from across TBI's policy, technology, economic reform and delivery teams.

Practice Building & Growth

The Director will build and scale TBI's DLT and Digital Assets practice into a leading advisory platform for governments globally.

• Define the strategic vision, service offering and growth roadmap.
• Identify and convert new advisory opportunities across TBI markets.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of advisory engagements.
• Lead proposal development, commercial discussions and client pitches.
• Establish methodologies, delivery standards and quality frameworks.
• Develop staffing models, capability plans and operating structures.
• Contribute to revenue growth and long-term sustainability of the practice.
• Build TBI's reputation through delivery excellence and market engagement.

Thought Leadership & Public Influence

• Publish distinctive policy papers, market analyses and strategic commentary.
• Shape TBI's institutional positions on digital assets, stablecoins, tokenisation and financial infrastructure.
• Represent TBI at global forums, conferences and high-level policy discussions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for government leaders.
• Build TBI's reputation as a trusted voice in digital finance and innovation.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement

• Design and lead flagship multi-stakeholder convenings.
• Build relationships across governments, central banks, regulators, fintechs, blockchain ecosystems and financial institutions.
• Serve as a bridge between public-sector stakeholders and industry participants.
• Develop strategic partnerships with multilateral organisations, industry bodies and ecosystem leaders.

Internal Leadership & Capability Building

• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Develop practical frameworks, toolkits and training materials.
• Contribute to broader TBI leadership, strategy and talent discussions.

Experience & Track Record

• 12+ years of experience spanning management consulting, public-sector advisory, financial regulation, international organisations, fintech or financial services.
• Demonstrated success leading high-impact advisory engagements.
• Strong track record of business development, proposal development and client relationship management.
• Experience operating in emerging markets is highly desirable.

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Deep understanding of digital assets, stablecoins, tokenisation, CBDCs and financial infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of public policy, financial regulation and economic reform.
• Ability to lead rigorous analytical work and develop practical recommendations.

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
