ACCOUNT MANAGER or SR. ACCOUNT MANAGER - SOUTHEAST

We’ve been retained by a global leader in natural color solutions serving the food, beverage, and pet food industries. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to helping manufacturers create more naturally vibrant products, our client is growing rapidly and expanding its commercial team!

We’re seeking an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager, based on experience, to play a key role in growing the business throughout the Southeast. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven ingredient or flavor sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and helping customers turn innovative ideas into successful products. The role is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving profitable growth across an established customer base while opening doors to new business. You’ll serve as a trusted commercial partner to customers, bringing together market insight, product knowledge, and internal expertise to solve challenges and create new opportunities.

• Drive Growth: Meet or exceed annual sales objectives by expanding existing business and winning new opportunities.
• Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop strong, multi-level relationships with key customer accounts and become a trusted resource for their business.
• Develop New Business: Generate, qualify, pursue, and convert new sales opportunities across the territory.
• Own Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans that align your customer’s goals with opportunities for growth.
• Lead Commercial Discussions: Negotiate pricing, commercial agreements, and contracts while leveraging strong product and market knowledge.
• Be a Customer Champion: Provide customers with timely insight into products, pricing, market trends, innovations, and solutions.
• Collaborate Across the Business: Partner with Technical, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Product Management teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Support Innovation: Help customers bring new products to market by supporting product development from initial concept through commercialization.
• Provide Market Intelligence: Bring valuable customer, competitive, and market insights back to the organization.
• Own the Sales Forecast: Prepare monthly sales forecasts, portfolio reviews, and accurate sales reporting for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Account Manager: 4–6 years of ingredient or flavor sales experience serving food and beverage manufacturers.
• Senior Account Manager: 7–10 years of ingredient or flavor sales experience serving food and beverage manufacturers.
• Proven ability to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop and execute both short- and long-term account strategies.
• Technical aptitude and the ability to understand customer challenges and connect them with the right solutions.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• A genuine passion for food, beverage, ingredients, and customer innovation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Ability and willingness to travel 50–60% throughout the territory.
