Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Category Management will support the development and execution of category strategies to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share within McKesson Canada's product portfolio. This role involves data analysis, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive category plans aligned with company objectives, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and consumer insights.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for category growth and improvement.
* Support vendor negotiations and manage supplier relationships to secure favorable terms, product availability, and promotional support.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure effective execution of category strategies, new product launches, and promotional campaigns.
* Monitor category performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations.
* Contribute to the optimization of product assortment, planograms, and merchandising strategies to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
* Identify and implement process improvements within category management to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
* Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in retail and healthcare categories.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 1-3 years of experience in category management, product management, merchandising, or a similar role, preferably within a retail or wholesale environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
* Results-oriented with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $56,400 - $75,200
