Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineers to join the Aeronautics Systems Sector Intern Program. This position will be on-site in Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Weapon Systems Cybersecurity (WSC) Systems Security Engineering (SSE) organization. The WSC is responsible for sector process standardization, integrating and assessing cybersecurity execution capability levels of programs, and providing direct technical support to captures and programs.

The selected candidate's experience will include, but is not limited to:

• Participating in cybersecurity execution capability assessments
• Assisting in drafting cybersecurity process and training material for use by the sector and the WSC team
• Participating in peer reviews for sector and internal process
• Participating in communication activities including document development, stakeholder meetings, and briefings
• Supporting data analytics by gathering metrics and working with visualizations

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027
• Be majoring in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other related STEM related field
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering processes and milestones
• Experience working in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture
• Experience executing SSE frameworks (RMF, JSIG, CUI, ICD 503, ISO 27001)
• Experience remediating, mitigating, and documenting cybersecurity vulnerabilities

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or higher
• Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
• Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups
• Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch

Intern Pay Range :

Undergraduate (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program for Fall 2027): $18.50 - $33.50/hour

Master’s: $26.25 - $41.50/hour
