Description
As one of the world’s largest IT distributors, we're not just distributing technology, we're shaping the future for our partners and their customers.
We now have a great opportunity within our computer components team to cover an six (6) month maternity leave vacancy.
In this role, you will be the point-of-contact for the sales teams and serve as an internal business partner to the other functional teams.
The key components of this role is to provide outstanding sales support and customer service to our customers and internal stakeholders through outbound and inbound telephone contact and other electronics means.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities of this role can best be summarised:
Proactively take ownership of customer requests with first encounter immediate response acknowledge ownership, queries and issues through our email or ticketing system if applicable; making and keeping detailed notes and see actions through to completion.
Be available to answer inbound phone calls from various queue’s relating to orders, products and new accounts.
Use judgment and discretion to identify and communicate lead time and delivery ETA’s based on product availability, and other impact factors prior to order placement.
Takes ownership of order fulfilment issues and sees them through to resolution in a timely manner
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, experience and knowledge:
Minimum High School Certificate (or equivalent).
Professional communication skills (both verbal and written).
Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive and customer service orientation with the ability to work autonomously.
Experience with bills of materials, quoting and ERP systems (desirable).
Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT systems for quotation, order entry, customer relationship management.
Solid knowledge of applicable vendor products and services.
Solid understanding of sales processes.
IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
