Description
Full Charge Bookkeeper
Miami, FL | Full-Time | Onsite | $55,000–$70,000 + Benefits
About the Role
Our client, an established accounting practice, is adding a Senior Account Manager / Full Charge Bookkeeper to its Miami team. You'll own a portfolio of recurring clients from start to finish. You'll review and correct bookkeeping, close the books, prepare them for tax work, and present financial results with confidence.
This is a review-centered position. An intake team handles most data entry, so your time goes to accuracy, oversight, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management

- Present financial statements and results clearly and professionally
- Follow up on missing information, unresolved transactions, and documentation
Review & Accounting
- Review work from the intake and external teams for accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment
- Identify and correct errors, and give clear feedback to team members
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping as needed: reconciliations, journal entries, A/P, A/R, payroll entries, loans, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and review Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and supporting schedules
Close & Tax Readiness
- Complete month-end and year-end review procedures
- Make sure books are tax-ready
- Work with the tax team to resolve questions and provide clean supporting information
Team Coordination
- Coordinate work among assistants, external bookkeepers, and internal staff
- Keep deadlines on track across all client engagements
Qualifications
Experience
- Experience managing a book of multiple clients, ideally in a CPA firm, bookkeeping firm, accounting practice, or outsourced accounting environment
- Strong full-charge bookkeeping experience across the complete accounting cycle
- Experience preparing books for tax returns and working with tax professionals during year-end close
- Experience explaining financial information directly to clients
- Experience delegating to or working with bookkeeping assistants, offshore teams, or external accounting support
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Ability to review another bookkeeper's work, identify errors, and correct them independently
- Solid knowledge of reconciliations, adjusting entries, payroll accounting, loans, fixed assets, A/P, A/R, and balance sheet accounts
