Lead Digital Transformation, Cloud Innovation & AI Strategy at Berkley One

Are you a hands-on technology leader who enjoys building modern digital experiences and solving complex business challenges?

 

Berkley One is looking for a Technology Lead, Digital Experience & Enterprise Services to drive the technology vision and delivery for our Digital Engagement, CRM, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Services platforms. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise strategy while leading the development of innovative customer and agent-facing solutions.

 

This position will be based in one of our offices:

• West Hartford, CT
• Morristown, NJ
• Wilmington, DE
• Chicago, IL 

Our offices offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

We'll count on you to:

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Drive digital experiences across web, mobile, CRM, and self-service platforms.
• Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into technology outcomes.
• Champion secure-by-design engineering practices and modernization initiatives.
• Identify and implement Generative AI solutions that improve customer experience and business efficiency.
• Guide engineering teams and establish best-in-class development standards.

Qualifications

What you need to have: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience. 
• 3+ years in a Technology Lead, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar leadership role. 
• Proven success designing and delivering enterprise-scale software solutions. 
• Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale software development and architecture.
• Strong background with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, Microservices, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, and CI/CD.

What makes you stand out:

• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI-enabled development tools.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Insurance or financial services experience is highly valued.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include: • Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 • Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus. • Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
