Inventory Control Specialist I

Help keep every pick location stocked and every inventory count accurate. As an Inventory Control Specialist I, you will build expertise in one of two core areas: high reach replenishment or systematic cycle counting. Your work will support efficient order fulfillment, dependable inventory records, and a safe warehouse operation.

The Opportunity

This is a foundational role on RefrigiWear's Dahlonega inventory team. You will follow warehouse management system instructions, use RF scanning technology, and work closely with the Inventory Lead to maintain product availability and inventory accuracy. The position is well suited for someone who works safely, follows detailed processes, and takes pride in accurate results.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate a stand-up reach truck to retrieve bulk pallets from high-bay storage and replenish active picking locations based on real-time warehouse management system alerts.
• Complete system generated blind counts by physically counting pieces, cartons, or pallets and recording results with an RF scanner.
• Scan each item and location tag accurately to keep warehouse inventory data synchronized.
• Report damaged pallets, improper storage, unreadable barcodes, and other inventory concerns promptly to the Inventory Lead.
• Follow warehouse aisle traffic patterns, equipment safety rules, standard operating procedures, and inspection requirements.
• Participate in pre-shift huddles, safety communications, and other assigned warehouse duties.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid forklift certification for a stand-up reach truck or stock picker; high-reach equipment experience is strongly preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and handheld RF scanners; HighJump experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent standard of scan and count accuracy.
• Clear communication, dependable teamwork, and a commitment to safety and established procedures.
• Work Environment and Physical Requirements
• This position works in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment. Team members must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
