Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading daily security operations and helping maintain a safe, secure, and compliant facility environment. This role oversees security team members, supports staffing administration such as timesheets and vacation requests, enforces company policies and safety expectations, and monitors facility access, traffic flow, parking areas, trailer temperatures, doors, and egress points. The Security Supervisor plays a key role in protecting team members, visitors, property, product quality, and food safety standards across Farmer Focus operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Security team to support a safe, secure, and compliant facility environment.
- Manage timesheets and vacation requests for security personnel, ensuring appropriate coverage and accurate administrative records.
- Communicate performance standards to security team members and provide direction, coaching, and follow-up as needed.
- Train team members on safety regulations and practices and enforce safety expectations consistently.
- Observe and enforce company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
- Conduct hourly rounds, including checking trailer temperatures, doors, and egress points.
- Monitor team members and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the building.
- Conduct incident investigations and document findings according to company expectations.
- Log all visitors entering the facility and help ensure appropriate access control procedures are followed.
- Monitor parking lots, issue parking tickets when noncompliance is identified, and direct traffic during shift changes.
- Control traffic and assist with evacuation procedures for the processing plant as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation
Compensation: $57,616

Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in security, facility operations, access control, or related field.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a professional attitude and the ability to represent the company appropriately when interacting with team members, visitors, and others entering the facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress and respond appropriately during incidents, traffic control, or evacuation situations.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision and exercise attention to detail.
- Must have basic computer skills, including the ability to complete logs, records, and administrative tasks accurately.
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
- Ability to navigate on varying terrain in all weather conditions and go up and down stairs as needed.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Work is performed in and around a poultry processing and manufacturing facility and includes both indoor and outdoor assignments. This role requires regular patrols of production areas, parking lots, building perimeters, trailers, and other facility grounds. Team members may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, and high humidity while conducting outdoor security rounds and traffic monitoring.
Inside the facility, team members may be exposed to live poultry, raw and cooked products, dust, feathers, cleaning chemicals, wet or slippery surfaces, and varying noise levels. Temperatures may range from approximately 28°F to 100°F depending on the work area and season.
This position requires extended periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, patrolling varying terrain, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and responding to incidents or emergency situations. The ability to work outdoors for extended periods, walk long distances, conduct facility inspections, and maintain alertness throughout the shift is essential. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds may be required.
Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, eye protection, high-visibility safety gear, hair nets, beard nets, or other safety equipment, must be worn as required based on work location and job duties.
This role may require working days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to support facility operations and security coverage.
