Lead Power Engineer

Note: US Citizenship Required

A typical day might include the following:

• Further develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control the power system.

• Assist in developing product specifications, develop and analyze functional tests.

• Assist with application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets.

• Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers.

• Assist in writing and reviewing innovative power system protection solutions to present at technical meetings and conferences.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

• Typically 5+ years experience in electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies

• Excellent technical training skills

• Working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay application at an electrical utility, industrial plant

• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SEL products

• Experience in power system modeling using EMTP

• Experience leading P&C design projects
