Position Summary

A Tax Manager will be based at our Memphis Office and lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver excellent services and exceed our clients’ expectations while exhibiting both talent and integrity. This individual creates a positive working environment by effectively monitoring and managing their personal workload while balancing client and firm expectations. Responsibilities

• Reviews federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations
• Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities
• Builds new and manages existing client relationships
• Manages engagement with oversight of tax associates
• Trains and supervises staff, reviews and evaluates their work
• Actively participates in attracting new clients and talent

Qualifications

• CPA license (advanced degree preferred but not required)
• 6+ years prior experience in tax (public accounting experience preferred)
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
• Research proficiency
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Well-rounded in dealing with high-net-worth individuals and businesses
