GIS Field Services, Inc. is looking to hire inspectors to perform residential property inspections on behalf of mortgage lenders. Our inspectors enjoy a flexible schedule while earning part time income. The nature of the work involves a lot of driving to cover your exclusive territory. We prefer to hire experienced mortgage field inspectors, but direct experience is not required. GIS has been in business for over 20 years and is based in Dallas, TX. What is a Mortgage Property Inspection:
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on properties with delinquent loans. To do this they hire GIS to send out an inspector to verify the property occupancy and to report general property conditions utilizing a GIS smartphone application. Most inspections are completed as exterior, but some inspections also require the inspector to access the inside of the property. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory
• Typical inspections should only take 4-6 minutes
• 5 day turnaround time to complete most inspections, some inspections will vary with shorter turnaround time from 1-4 days
• Make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards and report general property conditions
• Take 6+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a form on your mobile phone using an application
• Scheduling insurance loss draft inspections and utilizing the events tab for updates

 
Requirements:

• Computer and an internet connection
• Vehicle with good gas mileage 
• iPhone or Android
• Printer
• HUD Keys - full set of 11 keys
• Volt Stick
• Complete an Aspen Grove background check (Cost is $90 in all states except NY, the cost is $185; Background check is valid for 2 years)

Pay and Hours:

• Set rate per inspection depending on type of inspection
• Paid weekly - Every Friday for work completed the week prior
• Depending on the territory you should expect to work 10-25 hours per week and the work is consistent month to month
• After becoming established you have the ability to move into a full time capacity as volume increases
• No mileage or equipment reimbursement
• The job is a 1099 Independent Contractors position
