As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Overnight in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. - Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations at transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding property in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, administrative areas, vehicle storage locations, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and interactions accurately, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of Military Police, Corrections Officer, or armed security-related experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associates Degree/60 College Credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
