We are looking for a Business Analyst Specialist to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).

 

The Business Analyst Specialist has years of deep practical experience in the role; with repeated practice performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations. The Business Analyst Specialist knows what techniques to use and what influences the usage of the various techniques for the tasks. He or she works independently and may plan; supervise or lead the work of others on large projects and work efforts. The Business Analyst Specialist has a deep working knowledge of most; if not all; business analysis practices. 

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business strategy, objectives, processes and technology requirements.
• Analyse business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements and technology solutions.
• Develop and maintain business, process, information and technology models representing current and future-state environments.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, capabilities, systems and operating models.
• Conduct business and data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Align business strategy and processes with the organisation’s information technology strategy.
• Apply recognised Business Analysis methodologies, techniques and practices to complex initiatives.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops and solution discussions.
• Support Agile delivery teams by translating business requirements into clear and prioritised outcomes.
• Research industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI, to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Provide guidance and coaching on Business Analysis practices where required.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure business and technology solutions deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
• Relevant qualification in Business Analysis from one of the IIBA Endorsed Education Providers contributing towards future certification.

Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, with experience operating at a specialist or senior level.
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Demonstrated experience translating business strategy and requirements into technology-enabled solutions.
• Experience working across complex, ambiguous and high-impact business environments.
• Strong experience in business process analysis, modelling and optimisation.
• Experience working within Agile environments and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Experience applying Business Analysis frameworks, methodologies and recognised industry practices.
• Exposure to digital transformation, emerging technologies and AI-driven business opportunities would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, make informed decisions and drive innovation.
• Experience coaching or supporting other Business Analysts would be an advantage.
