About the Role
As a Governance & Risk Analyst (P4), you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for supporting the operational governance framework that enables the safe, compliant, and scalable adoption of AI across HARMAN. You will manage governance processes, risk workflows, and control activities that ensure AI initiatives meet enterprise standards for compliance, transparency, and accountability. This role requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills to maintain governance effectiveness while enabling innovation. You will work across business, technology, security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are appropriately assessed, documented, monitored, and governed throughout their lifecycle.
Your Team
You will be a senior individual contributor partnering with AI product teams, platform teams, risk and compliance functions, legal teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to support governance operations, risk management processes, and responsible AI adoption across the enterprise.
What You Will Do
Administer risk-tiering workflows to ensure AI use cases are assessed and routed through the appropriate governance and review processes.
Manage intake processes and maintain high quality governance and risk data for Ai initiatives, applications, and platform capabilities.
Review submissions for completeness and ensure required documentation, evidence, approvals, and control artifacts are properly maintained.
Track governance exceptions, remediation actions, waivers, and risk acceptance decisions, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
Monitor reassessment triggers and lifecycle review requirements to ensure AI solutions remain compliant with evolving governance standards.
Develop and maintain governance dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and reporting that provide visibility into portfolio risk, compliance status, and operational effectiveness.
Support audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries by maintaining accurate records and providing governance evidence as required.
Partner with business, security, legal, and compliance stakeholders to improve governance processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve governance workflows, data quality, reporting accuracy, and risk management practices.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of AI governance policies, procedures, standards, and operating models.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Risk Management, Compliance, Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, PMO, operations, or related disciplines.
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, operational controls, risk assessment processes, audit readiness, and documentation management.
Experience managing workflows, data quality processes, reporting, and operational controls in a regulated or governance-driven environment.
Knowledge of AI governance, technology risk management, data governance, cybersecurity, or related enterprise control frameworks.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive process discipline through strong analytical and organizational skills.
What is Nice to Have
Experience supporting AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, or emerging technology governance programs.
Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CGRC, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar governance, risk, and compliance credentials.
Experience with governance, workflow, and reporting platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Power BI, Archer, or similar tools.
Experience working in global, matrixed organizations with cross-functional governance and compliance requirements.
What Makes You Eligible
Willingness to travel 20% of the time .
Willingness to work hybrid in the HARMAN Novi, MI office 3+ days a week.
