Job Title: Banquet Captain
Location: The Dominion Country Club
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all banquet functions to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction. They supervise banquet staff, coordinate with clients and culinary teams, and ensure that events are executed smoothly and efficiently in accordance with the country club’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise banquet events from setup to cleanup, ensuring all details are executed as per client specifications.
• Lead and manage banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews, providing direction and support.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
• Oversee event setup, ensuring proper presentation, cleanliness, and organization of banquet spaces.
• Monitor service quality during events, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring new banquet staff.
• Handle event-related administrative tasks, such as event orders and staffing schedules.
• Promote a positive team environment and uphold the country club’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in banquet or event service preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
