As a senior leader within PwC Australia’s Data & AI practice, you will help clients shape and deliver their most important data and AI transformations.You will combine strong consulting experience with deep technical understanding to advise senior stakeholders, shape solutions and lead multidisciplinary teams across data, analytics and AI solutions. You will work primarily in with clients in the Energy and Mining sectors to design and deliver scalable, production-grade solutions spanning modern data platforms, advanced analytics, machine learning, Generative AI and agentic AI.
You will also play an important role in growing PwC’s Data & AI capability - developing our people, shaping market offerings, contributing to business development and building trusted relationships with our clients.

What you’ll do:
Lead complex Data & AI consulting engagements from strategy and solution design through to engineering, implementation and production deployment.
Advise senior technology and business leaders on Data & AI strategy, architecture, platforms, operating models and technology choices.
Shape end-to-end Data & AI solutions spanning data engineering, modern data platforms, analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, agentic AI and enterprise integration.
Provide technical leadership across solution architecture and engineering, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and fit for enterprise environments.
Lead the development and productionisation of AI solutions, including appropriate MLOps/LLMOps, evaluation, monitoring, governance and Responsible AI practices.
Translate complex business challenges into practical Data & AI opportunities, roadmaps and solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Lead multidisciplinary teams of architects, data engineers, AI engineers, data scientists and consultants, providing coaching, technical direction and delivery oversight.
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a recognised advisor on emerging Data & AI technologies and their application.
Support business development by identifying opportunities, shaping propositions, developing proposals and contributing to client pursuits.
Help evolve PwC’s Data & AI offerings, accelerators, methods and engineering capabilities based on emerging technology and client needs.
Contribute to PwC’s market presence through thought leadership, executive discussions, demonstrations and industry engagement.
What we’re looking for (not all categories are necessary in one individual):
Significant experience delivering Data & AI solutions, with strong experience in consulting or professional services and a demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements.
Strong technical depth across Data & AI, with the ability to confidently guide and challenge architects, engineers and data scientists on solution design and implementation.
Experience designing and delivering production-grade AI and machine learning solutions, including Generative AI and emerging agentic AI patterns.
Strong understanding of modern data architecture and engineering, including data platforms, integration, data pipelines, analytics and the foundations required to support enterprise AI.
Experience with modern cloud and Data & AI technology ecosystems such as Azure, AWS or GCP, and platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent.
Strong understanding of AI/ML engineering practices including MLOps/LLMOps, APIs, containerisation, CI/CD, observability, model evaluation and production operations.
Understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI, security and risk considerations associated with deploying AI within enterprise environments.
Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and developing technical capability within high-performing consulting or engineering environments.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear business language.
A commercial mindset, including experience shaping client opportunities, developing proposals, contributing to sales pursuits and growing trusted client relationships.
Ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes, helping clients move from experimentation to scalable, sustainable Data & AI adoption.
