Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead maintenance staff: Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to Maintenance Technicians and other team members to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities: Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, manage repairs, renovations, and installations, and ensure timely completion of all maintenance operations
- Technical oversight: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other technical issues, providing hands-on guidance when necessary
- Safety and compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards, conducting regular inspections and audits
- Administrative duties: Manage budgets, maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, prepare reports, and coordinate with contractors or external vendors for specialized tasks
- Facility optimization: Monitor equipment performance, implement best practices, and develop strategies to minimize downtime and prolong asset life
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical expertise: Knowledge of building systems, machinery, and maintenance procedures, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and pneumatic systems
- Leadership and communication: Ability to supervise teams, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively with staff, management, and external contractors
- Problem-solving and organizational skills: Capable of diagnosing issues quickly, prioritizing tasks, and implementing cost-effective solutions
- Education and experience: While formal education is not always required, vocational certificates, trade certifications, or degrees in facility management or engineering are advantageous. Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Coordinator, or similar role is preferred
- Software proficiency: Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management
