The eCommerce Planner drives financial planning, promotional strategy, inventory management, and business performance analysis, partnering cross-functionally to deliver key KPI metrics in a fast-paced, evolving eCommerce environment.
Primary Duties:
Develop department, class and key item forecasts including sales, inventory, receipts, and Open to Buy forecasts, ensuring alignment with business and financial targets.
Partner with Buyers to build assortments that support merchandise strategies and financial goals, including class mix, buy depth, inventory health and margin objectives.
Lead promotional planning and forecasting efforts, evaluating the impact of promotional events, pricing actions, and markdown strategies to drive profitable sales growth and inventory productivity.
Partner on day-to-day business management through ongoing performance analysis of sales, margin, inventory, demand, and digital metrics. Identify risks and opportunities, react quickly to changing business trends, and develop actionable recommendations to drive results.
Provide timely reporting, ad hoc analysis, and insights to support evolving business needs, leadership requests, and strategic decision making in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
Analyze weekly inventory availability, ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained while partnering with demand planning teams on forecast adjustments and inventory optimization opportunities.
Maintain strong cross functional relationships across eCommerce, merchandising, marketing, and retail teams to influence decision making and achieve financial and operational objectives.
Present business performance, forecasts, risks, opportunities and strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of planning experience, preferably in an ecommerce, DTC, or omnichannel retail environment.
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate real time data into actionable business insights in a fast-paced environment, highlight dynamic business environment.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with reporting, planning, and business intelligence tools.
Strong understanding of retail financial metrics, digital commerce KPIs, inventory management, forecasting, and promotional performance.
Experience developing promotional, pricing, and inventory strategies that balance customer demand, profitability, and inventory health.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence decisions across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively across merchandising, marketing, finance, planning, and operations teams.
Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools and automation solutions, to improve efficiency, enhance analysis, and support fast decision making.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
