About the job

Based Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, the Communications Executive is responsible for but not limited to daily communication between all Rooms Division departments is very essential. Internal & external communication is of utmost importance. Respect and communication will promote an excellent environment in which to work and will provide for your guests a welcome feeling. The Communications Executive reports to the Marketing Communications Manager.

As Communications Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:
 

Public Relations:

• Arrange all journalist bookings within the hotel, completing relevant forms and confirmation
• Assist with the coordination of press enquiries, events and interviews in conjunction with the Communications Manager
• Assist in the translation of relevant press releases and necessary material
• Maintain hotel photo library and ensure it is updated, named and filed accordingly
• Ensure a sufficient quantity and quality is achieved for press kit materials, hotel brochures and media gifts
• Assist with the distribution of monthly and annual reports
• Alongside the Communications Manager, keep Hotel Promotions Schedule updated
• Work with Communications Manager to ensure that the journalist database is up to date

Social Media:

• Manage Web, Digital & Social Media platforms for MOJKT with major focus on building the growth of Social Media Channels (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tripadvisor) – curating and creating visual and written content
• Develop monthly content strategy for social media activities – liaising where appropriate with the relevant departments within the hotel
• Liaise with Corporate Social Media team to craft specific Group promotions via social media
• Compile monthly reports on Social Media statistics and analytics
• Liaise and build relationships with on-line partners with regards to promotional opportunities such as competitions, promotions, events, etc.

Consumer Marketing & Ecommerce:

• Ensure that hotel website is continuously updated and changes are submitted to head office
• Responsible for monitoring of competitor movements and promotions
• Monitor and respond to travel review websites (including Booking.com, Expedia.com, Agoda.com, Ctrip.com)
• In conjunction with Communications Manager, plan and execute all CRM activity for MOJKT, including managing the CDMS and ELMO program
• Extract results data following tactical EDM campaigns
• Identify new consumer marketing collaboration opportunities

Other Duties:

• Attending Marcomm Meetings and keep the minutes updates
• Prepare, distribute and manage work orders, purchase requisitions and other relevant correspondence relating to the overall department
• Record and process receipts received from agencies to verify monthly invoices
• Process charitable and sponsorship requests
• Liaise with other departments and guests as required

As Communications Executive, we expect from you:

• Degree in Marketing Communications or Digital Marketing preferred but not required
• Minimum 1-year working experience in a 5 star hotel preferred
• Knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant digital platforms and tools.
• Familiarity with CMS (Content Management System) platforms and basic HTML is an advantage.
• Good understanding of visual storytelling, copywriting, and brand consistency across digital channels
• Ability to analyze digital performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry and competitor landscape preferred
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content strategy
