Solutions Engineer II

Job Brief

The Solutions Engineer II (SE-II) is the go-to technical problem solver for Wayvia’s client-facing teams across the full client lifecycle. The SE-II partners with Account Executives on new business and with Customer Success Managers and Account Managers on existing clients—scoping expansions, solving for new use cases, supporting technical projects and resolving complex website integration challenges. With a deep understanding of Wayvia’s solution catalog, strong website technology skills and a creative approach to problem solving, the SE-II ensures clients get lasting value from the Wayvia platform well beyond the initial sale.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Technical Partner Across the Client Lifecycle — Serve as the technical subject matter expert for AEs, CSMs and AMs, supporting new business, renewals, expansions and ongoing client work with a balanced focus on both new and existing clients.
• Existing Client Projects & Expansions — Partner with CSMs and AMs to scope and solution expansion opportunities, custom configurations and technical projects for existing clients; identify growth opportunities rooted in how clients actually use the platform.
• Website Integration & Troubleshooting — Guide client web and development teams through deploying Wayvia solutions on brand websites (JavaScript embeds, tags, pixels and APIs); validate implementations and troubleshoot technical issues alongside Implementation and Support.
• Discovery & Solution Design — Lead requirement-gathering, discovery and data-transfer discussions, aligning client needs with Wayvia capabilities and identifying new and innovative uses for Wayvia solutions and data.
• Demos & Technical Evaluations — Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical architecture overviews to enterprise audiences; support RFI/RFP responses and technical vendor assessments.
• Feedback, Handoffs & Documentation — Relay client feedback to Product throughout the sales, renewal and growth cycles; ensure clean handoffs to Implementation and Support; create and maintain technical documentation as products and processes evolve.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–5 years of customer-facing technical experience (solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions consulting, technical account management or implementation), preferably in SaaS.
• Hands-on professional experience with website technologies—JavaScript, HTML, CSS, CDNs and APIs—including reading, debugging and troubleshooting front-end code using browser developer tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise clients both pre- and post-sale, including expansion opportunities and technical projects within existing accounts.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and systems clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills, both in person and virtual.
• Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize competing requests across Sales and Customer Success and drive results with minimal supervision.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a flair for storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tag management (e.g., Google Tag Manager) and tracking pixel implementation.
• Website analytics, digital marketing technologies or SEO.
• Data analysis and visualization tools such as Looker, Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau; relational database or SQL experience.
• Digital shelf management, digital merchandising, content syndication or retail media.
• Experience in eCommerce, retail technology or commerce intelligence.
