Job Description

Job Summary:**

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager (ASM) or Senior Area Sales Manager (SR ASM) to drive sales and market share growth within a designated territory for Becton Dickinson India Private Limited. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and leading a team to achieve ambitious targets.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the territory.
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and penetrate new accounts.
* Manage and nurture relationships with key customers, including hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare professionals.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with marketing and product teams.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives (if applicable to SR ASM role), fostering a high-performance sales culture.
* Conduct regular market analysis, competitor monitoring, and provide feedback to management on market trends and customer needs.
* Ensure timely and accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.
* Participate in product launches, sales meetings, and professional development programs.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
* Manage territory budget and resources effectively.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Administration). Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in the medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare industry, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role for SR ASM.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market and its dynamics.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities (for SR ASM).
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
