Description
A leading organisation, is seeking an experienced HR Director to partner with regional and global stakeholders in shaping and executing people strategies across Africa. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to play a pivotal role in aligning regional HR operations with global standards while driving impactful transformation initiatives across multiple countries.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Regional VP HR to translate global HR priorities into actionable regional plans and deliverables.
- Lead and coordinate HR transformation initiatives, including harmonisation, standardisation, governance, and enterprise programme implementation.
- Drive effective project management across regional HR functions, ensuring timely execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Support and strengthen the regional HR operating model through leadership forums, governance structures, and project reviews.
- Collaborate with Global and Corporate HR teams to implement policies, processes, and programmes consistently across the region.
- Provide strategic and operational HR guidance to market HR leads, balancing global requirements with local business needs.
- Monitor regional HR performance through reporting, dashboards, and leadership updates.
- Identify execution gaps, risks, and process inefficiencies while implementing practical and sustainable solutions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the HR function.
- Influence and engage stakeholders across a complex matrix environment to drive alignment and business outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner roles within multinational organisations.
- Strong project management experience with a proven track record of leading complex regional or enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Broad HR expertise across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, HR operations, compliance, and change management.
- Strong understanding of governance, HR processes, compliance frameworks, and employee experience within multinational environments.
- Proven ability to translate global HR strategies into practical regional execution plans.
- Excellent communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Strong influencing, relationship-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in HR reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated resilience, sound judgement, cultural awareness, and the ability to navigate complex business environments.
- HR certification, postgraduate qualification, or project management certification will be advantageous.
