Sr. Business Intelligence Data Analyst

About the Role
We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team and own the flow of data from our manufacturing and business systems to the dashboards and reports leaders rely on. You'll map and maintain data lineage end to end, protect the integrity of key business metrics, and support our SOX compliance obligations as a public company. You'll also be a key link between IT and business units across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that move and transform data from source systems (e.g., ERP, MES, supply chain, finance) into reporting-ready datasets.
• Document and maintain data lineage from source systems through transformations to dashboards and reports.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of key business metrics, including validation checks and reconciliation.
• Build and maintain SOX-compliant data processes, including change management, access controls, audit trails, and documentation.
• Work closely with IT, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to understand business processes and translate them into reliable data solutions.
• Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, clarifying data definitions and resolving data quality issues.
• Manage work through Jira and follow version-control best practices in Git.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and pandas for data processing and transformation.
  Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Experience using Jira for agile project and task management.
• Solid understanding of data lineage, data governance, and data quality practices.
• Familiarity with SOX controls as they apply to data and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of operations such as production, inventory, procurement, and cost accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience at a publicly traded company or in an audit-supported environment.

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company,  assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $82,500 and $110,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or certifications.
